I have had many people ask me about Instant pots lately and I have to say that it has been my most favorite kitchen appliance EVER. Like, I like my slow cooker, my mixer, blender, pots, things like that but I seriously LOVE my Instant Pot. Since there have been so many people ask me about it I thought I would just do a blog post on the reasons why you SHOULD get an instant pot.
- The instant pot literally cuts cooking time in half or more.
- You can cook anything literally from frozen! Don’t have time to thaw, no problem! I cook frozen chicken in this thing at least once a week and it is just as amazing as if I would have thawed.
- Energy-efficient! It simply takes less energy to heat up.
- All in one appliance. You can saute, slow cook, pressure cook, rice cooker.. you name it, it’s there!
- Keeps food warm as soon as it’s done “cooking” you don’t have to worry about your food getting cold at all!
- Amazing flavor development. You don’t have to simmer your chili for hours to get the same flavor developments here! 20 minutes in the instant pot tastes like you’ve been cooking it for hours!
- The stainless steel insert is chemical-free and Dishwasher Safe! And there are many more inserts like the silicone egg holder (that you can make muffins with also) that is also dishwasher safe!
- Endless possibilities! Seriously there are more and more things I find all the time that I find out you can cook in your instant pot! Like this Chicken Fried Steak!!!

I’ve been reading so much about instant pots lately and this is a kitchen appliance that I so want. I love that it cooks food from frozen. I’m always forgetting to take something out the freezer to defrost and then struggling to get my meal cooked in time!
Still on the fence over getting this. My pressure cookers are too precious and handy what with all the power cuts we are having right now. But yes, I have it on my wishlist, definitely, Felicia. Sounds like a fantastic kitchen appliance to invest in
